Terms of Use

Intended use

Petrolbillgenerator.com is a free browser-based tool for producing printable Indian petrol-pump-style thermal receipts in PDF format. Legitimate uses include: reconstructing a lost or faded original receipt when a corresponding fuel-card or UPI statement confirms the purchase, testing expense-management software and OCR pipelines before rolling them out to real users, designing thermal-printer templates that match Indian OMC formats, teaching accounting and GST workflows with visually accurate examples, and running quality-assurance checks against receipt-parsing extraction. The tool is provided as-is, without warranty, and without any guarantee of format accuracy against any specific dispenser firmware or OMC branch.

Prohibited use

You may not use petrolbillgenerator.com to fabricate evidence of a fuel purchase that did not happen. Submitting a generated receipt as proof of an unpaid transaction to an employer, an insurance company, a tax authority, an accounting system, a court, or any other party in a position to rely on it, is fraud in most jurisdictions. In India that conduct may attract charges under sections 415-420 of the Indian Penal Code (cheating) and section 465 of the IPC (forgery). Corporate misconduct may trigger disciplinary action, termination and civil recovery. You accept all responsibility for how you use the PDFs generated by this tool; the operator disclaims all liability for downstream misuse.

No warranty

The tool is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, format accuracy against every OMC dispenser variant, compatibility with every PDF reader, or acceptance of the produced PDF by any downstream system. Rate revisions, GST rules, dispenser firmware updates, and Indian Oil Marketing Company branding change over time; the tool may lag behind those changes. If your legitimate use case requires format-perfect accuracy for a specific OMC branch on a specific date, verify against a real receipt from that outlet before relying on the generated file.

Trademark disclaimer

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BP), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HP), Reliance BP Mobility Ltd, Nayara Energy Ltd, Shell India Markets Pvt Ltd, HDFC Bank Ltd, Axis Bank Ltd, and all other trademarks referenced in the templates belong to their respective owners. Petrolbillgenerator.com is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or licensed by any of these companies. The receipt layouts are visual approximations of publicly observable thermal-print formats used at Indian petrol pumps and are provided for the legitimate uses listed above. If you are a trademark owner and want a template variant removed or modified, email [email protected] and we will process the request within 15 days.

Rate limiting and fair use

A soft rate limit of 200 generations per IP address per 24-hour window is enforced to prevent scripted abuse. Exceeding the limit results in a 429 response until the rolling window expires. Legitimate high-volume users (OCR pipeline load tests, batch template audits, migration flows) should email [email protected] for a temporary lift on a specific IP range. Do not attempt to bypass the rate limit by rotating IPs, spoofing the Cloudflare edge, or scripting the counter endpoint directly — that will result in the offending IP range being blocked at the CF firewall layer.

Content moderation

The tool has no server-side content moderation because form fields never reach the server. You are free to type any text into the station name, address or attendant ID fields; the resulting PDF is your responsibility. If you produce content that infringes third-party rights (e.g., pretending to be an outlet you do not own, defaming a real dealer), you assume full liability. The operator will cooperate with law-enforcement subpoenas and DPDP-Act take-down requests where a real legal basis is established.

Changes to these terms

Material changes will bump the "Last updated" date and, where practical, be announced via a homepage banner for at least seven days before taking effect. Continued use of the site after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of New Delhi. Contact for legal notices, takedown requests, complaints or questions: [email protected]. Operator: Sahil Tomar, based in India.
